Youtube 4k

Youtube is skipping and juddering when I try to play 4K content, but is fine with 1080p. Any ideas why? Specs in Sig and my internet is 60Mb fiber.

Damn...I get like the first 10-20 seconds of 4K on YT with my crappy internet which is 10mb-down sometimes lower

No skipping or stutter.

Have you tried enabling HTML5?.

 

I'm not familiar with hardware requirements for 4k video, but I assume your rig should be able to handle it.

I have messed around with using it, and had too many problems, so I disabled it.

Dude I barely watch content higher than 1440p even 1080p. If I could always watch content at a high res like 1440p it would be awesome since my native resolution is 1366x768

You need to get a good monitor, 1366x768 is BAD..

What browser are you using? Try deleting the cache

Not with my ISP- they are good and too small for that stuff

Yea try deleting the cache in the settings. I watch so many youtube videos I usually have to delete my cache after 2-3weeeks or videos will stutter or not even load

Just did, but no improvement.....

Next thing I would try is to restart my computer. Also make sure your graphics drivers are up to date

Well it happens all the time, so restart won't help. I'll look at the drivers

I know some people have had issues with the latest Amd drivers. That's the only other thing I can think of that would be causing this

I watch 4k fine on my system...? Not sure what it could be actually...

Issues with some games. Not entirly sure. I don't remember if they said anything about youtube videos. They just went back to a earlier driver. But in your case it doesn't really matter since you don't  have a 4k monitor and what video are you trying to watch in 4K?

Well I have them set to automatically go to highest res and unboxtherapy records in 4K. And there IS a visible difference- even with my 1080p monitors
