raspberry pi vs PC

Hi, i wonder which one is better is it raspberry pi or pc, on raspberry pu i choose 4gb model and windows on ARM, on PC i got core i3 and 4gb of ram and windows 10 home, which one will win ?

Definitely the PC. Windows for ARM runs, but programs don't always play nice.

Laptop (Dell XPS 13):

Intel Core i7-1195G7 • Intel Iris Xe Graphics • 16GB LPDDR4x 4267MHz • 512GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD • 13.4" OLED 3.5K InfinityEdge Display (3456x2160, 400nit, touch).

Apples vs oranges.

You can't really compare the two.

In what way? Those are 2 very different machines, and you haven't stated a use case. Without that it's not really possible to compare them.

For just web browsing, there is a chance that the raspberri pi is faster. But if you plan to do literaly anything else on it as a main machine, get a pc.

Comparing ARM to x86 is just as valid as comparing completely different x86 architectures to each other IMO.  They perform differently in different areas, so you need to compare on the specific tasks you want them to perform.

 

This is the same way we compare routers to each other, not on their architectures (ARM, MIPS, x86) but on how they perform the tasks we use them for.

An i3 will blow away a Pi 4 on any computing task.

Router:  Intel N100 (pfSense) WiFi6: Zyxel NWA210AX (1.7Gbit peak at 160Mhz)
WiFi5: Ubiquiti NanoHD OpenWRT (~500Mbit at 80Mhz) Switches: Netgear MS510TXUP, MS510TXPP, GS110EMX
ISPs: Zen Full Fibre 900 (~930Mbit down, 115Mbit up) + Three 5G (~800Mbit down, 115Mbit up)
Upgrading Laptop/Desktop CNVIo WiFi 5 cards to PCIe WiFi6e/7

Have you ever used a RPI with a desktop environment? Even a first gen mobile i3 will wreck the latest rpi when it comes to processing power and smooth web browsing.

I can guarantee you that basically any Core i3 will beat the Pi for web browsing.

my use case is programming like python and html
