 my gpu has 8 and 6 pin cable hole, do i have to plug both of that? My psu only has 6+2 pin cable

Yes, you need to plug in both. If your PSU doesn't have enough cables, then it probably isn't powerful enough.

 

Might help if you mentioned which GPU and which PSU you have.
