Preparing for the future

Hello so I plan on building a new gaming pc whenever I can actually get parts. I plan on mining on this computer and want to "future proof" my psu so that in the when I pick up a second card to go into my build I will have a good enough psi wattage. Here is my build that I plan on building.

Evolve X

MSI B550-A PRO

Ryzen 5800x cpu

Asus tuff 3080

Ram from old pc 32gb 3000Mhz

NZXT Kraken x73 RGB 360mm

NZXT AER triple fan starter kit + 1 fan 120mm

NZXT C850 power supply

There is my build my question is if I where to add a 3060ti to my build would the psu have enough watts to run everything fully overclocked on both of the gpus?? and if it could what would I do when it comes down to plugging it in. the 3080 has two pcie 8 pins and the 3060ti has the same two 8pins to plug in but the psu only has 3 slots and 3 cables that come with it. I have had a hard time finding any psu that come with 4 pcie slots on psu.

Thank you for the help in advance

You need more power than that. The 850W unit will be good enough for the single 3080 card. Consider a 1000W+ PSU instead. As for the cables, you need to check each one for what they ship with. Usually the more expensive 1200 to 1600 Watt units have ample connectors for multi-GPU setups.

I'm not sure if 3000Mhz would be a good choice.

What are you needing 2 GPU's for?

Why get a 3080 if you have a 3060Ti already?  Are you buying the 3080 just to have, so you're future proofed?

You don't outline a use-case, so it's hard to make suggestions.

I am using my old ram to to save a bit of money on the build. I know its a bit slow for the parts I will be getting once I can get a hold of them but do u know how much performance I would lose with the 3000Mhz compared too 3600Mhz

oh my bad I believe I talked about how I wanted the 3060ti in the future for mining once the price comes down and it becomes reasonable to purchase in the future. the 3080 is to be used for gaming and is what I will be trying to get a hold of when I first build my pc. then later down the line maybe a year or so depending on the shortage of gpus and the price is of them I will get the 3060ti specifically for mining. I am not pushing the 3080 to future proof it that is just going to be the card I am going to be gaming with and would like to just spend the little extra money now for the psu instead of spending more when its time to put the 3060ti in for mining
