Ram 3000mhz to 3400mhz overclock

Hey,

So i have upgraded my 3000mhz 16gb ram to 3600 mhz 16gb ram running at 3533mhz. And i was wondering if

i could underclock my new 16gb ram to 3400mhz and overclock the old one to 3400mhz?

If not i understand.

Kind Regards,

Well if you running them in dual channel mode, it will all run to the lowest speed, that is 3000mhz.

You can tune it to 3400mhz as long as the 3000 can do that speed.

I'm assuming you have 2x2 kits, you may have problems overclocking 4 dimms at the same time.
