Hello everyone,
I wanna build a PC and i am confused about what cpu+mobo combo to buy. Would it be better to buy the i7 9700kf and asrock z390 pro 4 or the i5 10600kf and asrock z490m pro 4 .I am intetrested more in the  gaming experience. Also i am the type of games who has 3-4 programs rinning .The price differance in those sets are 10 euros or aprx 15 dollars. At last i don't know if this would be informative but i have a RTX 2070 super . Thanks in advance .

A Ryzen 5 3600 + MSI B550 Tomahawk would be better and cheaper,you could also replace the 3600 with a 3700X.

I would go with the 3600 and tomahawk option due to it being the best value out of the two, furthermore Ryzen chips in general will provide better multi-tasking performance.

The 10600KF will be faster than the R5 3600 for gaming. Also in the UK those two cpu's are more or less the same price. Of course you have to factor in the mobo price and a cooler for the i5.

is the 3600 better than those two ? i did not go amd because those intel cpus are a lot cheapper and than the amd's. I mean in a lot of sites the 10600kf was way better at gaming than the 3600. Also the mobo counts that much ? i won't oc so if the socket and chipset are the same anything would do right ?

It's better when it comes to price per performance,You can also buy a 3700X instead.

AMD CPU+Motherboard combos are generally cheaper than Intel combos.

You could go cheaper than the B550 Tomahawk and still get a decent motherboard like the MSI B450 Tomahawk MAX.

And the motherboard counts,a low quality motherboard can limit the CPUs you can upgrade to,and in some cases even performance and boost behavior.

Longevity could be an issue as well,VRMs require cooling and there are motherboards that don't even have heatsinks on them.

As matter of fact, you may be able to get a 3700X + motherboard at the same price of the Intel combos.

If your main aim is gaming then the 10600KF is the better option. Also the i5 should overclock nicely so no reason not to do it. I would look at a better board though as ASRock entry ones are not that good. Something like an Asus Z490-P or MSI Z490-A PRO would be better. Stick a decent cooler on it like an Arctic Freezer 34 esports duo and you are good to go.

But Is the AMD combo with the 3700X cheaper or more expensive than the Intel one?

It's a combo, not just the CPU or just the motherboard, the total price of the combo should be compared.

I would take the Z490-A PRO then if it fits your budget, and you decide to go with the i5.
