ECC Memory help

I need help about ECC Memory.

I found 2 sticks, $9 bucks each, they are both 8GB Capacity,which means for $18 i can get 16GB

but the problem is,both are ECC Memory and i dont know can i support that memory.

My mobo is ASUS P6T6 WS Revolution and my CPU is a Xeon X5650

1st memory stick: ECC Hynix 8GB PC3 10600R-9-11-E2

2nd memory stick: ECC Hynix 8GB PC3 10600R-9-10-E1

2nd memory stick has a little "cooling system" on it.

both are 2RX4, 1333Mhz

This motherboard supports the latest Intel® Xeon processors in LGA1366 package with integrated memory controller to support 3-channel (6 DIMMs) DDR3 memory. Supports Intel® QickPath Interconnect (QPI) with a system bus of up to 6.4GT/s and a max bandwidth of up to 25.6GB/s. It can support DDR3 ECC un-buffered memory.

That's from ASUS' website

~edit: Is this the exact model? HYNIX HMT31GR7BFR4C-H9 PC3-10600R DDR3 1333 8GB ECC REG 2RX4 (FOR SERVER ONLY)

I don't think it'll work since this is registered ECC memory. If this is from Amazon? Check the reviews.

god damnit, finding un-buffered memory here where i am is very hard

That's because unbuffered ECC is rare and was barely ever used in large quantities. Only a handful of CPUs really made use of it.

(Xeon 3400 for instance, E3-1200 v1-v4)

PC Specs - AMD Ryzen 7 5800X3D MSI B550M Mortar - 32GB Corsair Vengeance RGB DDR4-3600 @ CL16 - ASRock RX7800XT 660p 1TBGB & Crucial P5 1TB Fractal Define Mini C CM V750v2 - Windows 11 Pro

I am also in a situation with RAM Ranks and figured that Ill post it here.

I know:

1Rx4 or 2Rx4 or 4Rx4

Where R (Rank) is the number of modules aka simultaniously you can send 64-bits through 1 bank and x4 is the sum of the number of chips.

But what do they mean by:

2S2Rx4
