How to fix Epic Games abnormal CPU usage?

Hi, it's been a long time since epicgames launcher has been reportedly using abnormal amounts of CPU usage.

 

They said the have issued a quick fix for this, but i am still getting spikes from 45-85% CPU usage for just opening the launcher.

 

Have you guys fix yours?

 

NOTE: launcher is up to date, tried uninstalling and reinstalling.

Open up your settings in Epic, have you installed the Epic Online Services patch? I updated my launcher and I went from 1.3% usage to about 7% until I installed the Online Services Patch and rebooted, now I'm back down to 1% usage.

No i have not installed this yet, where can i find this? i tried searching online and there are no installers to be found

Click on the cog wheel in Epic launcher and it should show up for you in the upper left corner.

Yep, install that, reboot, reopen epic, it will still show it, click install again and it will be finished and then reboot one more time and should return to normal.

@Skiiwee29i get this error message. then when i dismiss the error message and procced to install the .NET framework it just stays there not doing anything.

 

should i just dl and install Microsoft version?

Error kept on displaying. Couldn't proceed forward due to recurring error
