OK so who cares about hard drives right?? WELLLL this one happens to have a decent amount of bitcoin on it... its old like from when BTC was basically pocket change. ANDDD its clicking.

 

Normally when this happens we junk em, but in this case.. anyone have any ideas? I'd really like to not lose this BTC

There are services that are specialized on restoring HDDs, if at all possible (i.e. platters are still intact/readable). Of course they cost a pretty penny. Pretty sure LTT actually has a video or two about one such service.

Your best bet is contacting a service (in your local area) similar to this one:

 

Depending on the damage, you should not use to drive at all, because you just risk damaging it more (and beyond repair). As I said above, this will cost some money depending on the type of damage and/or recovery they have to do. So you'll have to figure out how much those coins are worth (i.e. should be more than the cost of recovery otherwise it's pointless).
