I'm doing product design at school and needs some opinions on macro keypads...

So I'm doing my course work at school for product design (Design Technology) and for my research, I need to know what people think about a macro keypad for productivity.

If you have a few seconds, please could you complete this form

Thank you very much for your help guys.

Hey, no offense here but your form (or the platform you are hosting it on) sends my ad-blockers/anti-trackers into overdrive...

NOTE: I no longer frequent this site. If you really need help, PM/DM me and my e.mail will alert me.

No issue on my side with ublock. Are you perhaps blocking microsoft IPs ?

As for OP, I answered it as if I didn't already have Macro keys built-into my keyboard already. I wouldn't purchase a separate device, unless I found a keyboard I truly loved, somehow, and it didn't have macro keys.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 3700x / GPU: Asus Radeon RX 6750XT OC 12GB / RAM: Corsair Vengeance LPX 2x8GB DDR4-3200
MOBO: MSI B450m Gaming Plus / NVME: Corsair MP510 240GB / Case: TT Core v21 / PSU: Seasonic 750W / OS: Win 10 Pro

I Use my knowledge as business owner and self taught technician aswell as an AI to help people. AI might be controversial but it actually works pretty well 90% of the time.

Survey done, btw. Some suggestions for the macropad:

Make it a kit where the end user can, at the very least, solder/hotswap in their own switches. If it's something you have to sell, optionally include relegendable keycaps. Bluetooth might be nice but not necessary. Most importantly of all, either take the time to write good, open-source software, or just make it run QMK.

I answered you survey. Good luck with the project.

As far as macro keypads go, I don't currently own one but if I was going to own one I would love it to be a fully configurable touchscreen where I could have as many or few macros as possible, rearrange them, resize them, customize the icons etc.

I'm thinking like a raspberry Pi with a touchscreen - somethign like this https://makerhacks.com/graphical-pizero-stream-deck/

No worries, I knew the instant it was hosted on and MS site it was going to be full of spying, just wasn't sure if you knew this...
