Does 1 x 4+4 pin EPS cables mean that you get two 4 pin connectors?

1 minute ago, FakeKGB said:

Yes.

They are usually combined into 1 8-pin connector on a motherboard.

Oh I get it now, Thank You I was overthinking stuff.

Sometimes the two connectors are attached to each other to facilitate 8-pin connectors. If just 4 pins are needed, the 4+4 then needs to be separated. They usually just snap apart.

That motherboard has an 8-pin and a 4-pin. The 4-pin is optional in most cases. The linked kit has the needed connectors.

So it is compatible? And is it two separate 4 pin EPS connectors or do they separate in 1 full 8 pin EPS because that kit also has a 8 Pin EPS connector so i'm guessing the 4 pin is separate? I'm new also so i'm learning.

4+4 pins is one connector that can be split. If it was two connectors they would be listed 2 x 4-pin.

And would it be noticeable that the other four pin would be dangling if I were to plug the 8 pin plus 1 x 4+4 pin?

Just use the single 8-pin cable.

(1 x 8-pin EPS cable)

Also what PSU are using?

Make sure you buy the kit that is FOR the PSU you are running.

For an example, there are Pro ModMesh cables for Corsair / EVGA / Seasonic / ASUS PSUs.

You DON'T wanted to use the cable set designed for EVGA PSUs....say...on a Corsair PSU.

The motherboard that I plan on using is the Asus Crosshair Viii Hero ( Wifi ), and for my GPU I would need to buy an additonal 8 pin PCIe connector for the 3090. Since there is only 2 x 8 PCIe in the PRO KIT and the Asus Rog Strix ( White ) 3090 needs 3 x 8 PCIe Pins.

This is just only a plan, and I'm guessing this is the PCIe cable I should get.

Does the psu have at least 3 PCIe power connectors?

You're right, the PRO kits only comes with 2x PCI-E 8-pin cables.

That said, you CAN but individual PCI-E cables.

You could get the kit + another standalone PCI-E 8-pin cable.

The PSU supports up to 6x PCI-E 6+2 pin connections.

It is done so by 3x PCI-E cables -- those 3x cables are 2-in-1.

So basically this PSU is compatible with a 3090?
