Upgrade?

Hi I currently use the ALIENWARE AW2518HF Full HD 25" LED Gaming Monitor and was thinking about “upgrading” to the BenQ EX2780Q 27-Inch 2K QHD HDRi 144 Hz Gaming Monitor FreeSync, IPS

but my main concern is the difference between 1ms and 5ms as my current monitor is 1ms and the Ben a one is 5ms

worth the “upgrade”?

Many times the pixel response time is more marketing than anything else as very few panels can ACTUALLY hit a 1 ms grey-to-grey response time. Also keep in mind that at 240 Hz the screen is refreshing every 4.16 ms, so a 1 ms "claimed" pixel response time is kinda pointless anyways.

rtings.com had favorable things to say about the BenQ monitor and rated the motion blur very good. https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/benq/ex2780q

If you are okay with the reduction in refresh rate from 240 Hz to 144 Hz I think the larger size, IPS panel, and higher resolution make the BenQ a more attractive monitor.
