cooler RAM clearance CPU cooler

I have G.Skill Aegis in Slot A2 and B2 on a MSI X470 Gaming Plus Max. Does the Dark Rock Pro 4 work with my RAM (mayby with pushing the fan up a little bit)? Does anyone have the same RAM+CPU cooler?

Or is the cooler an overkill for a cpu with 105W TDP?

Your ram is actually not that tall compared to other G.Skill memory modules. The Dark Rock Pro 4 has cutouts for the memory modules. I would assume that it would fit. I've seen images with G.Skill TridentZ modules and the same cooler and it was no issue.

There is no such thing as overkill when it comes to cooling your components. A bigger cooler means you have more headroom and can run fans quieter.

IIRC Aegis is G.Skills normal/low-profile line-up. So it will work with all CPU coolers.
