I just want to be as quick as possible and not waste anyone's time here with lengthy details.

About 2 or 3 months ago I was randomly hit with input lag that effects my mouse pretty bad. Not just in game, but also on my desktop. After doing research about this sort of issue it became pretty clear that bad grounding is effecting my pc and causing this input lag (most of the plugs in my house have only 2 prongs and my house was built in the 50s or 60s). I had an electrician come over recently and he installed a new grounded receptacle just for the outlet I use alone, but the issue still persists. From what I've seen on forums the only way to fix this is by grounding your whole house, but that isn't really an option for me considering how expensive the quote was that the electrician gave me. After the receptacle was installed I started to hear random static in my headphones and I'm getting these weird small shocks through my hands using my keyboard and mouse. My head feels extremely weird when using my headphones as well. Maybe I'm just mental and I'm perceiving these things, but regardless I'm hoping to find some sort of fix.

I really don't have any other options other than trying a power conditioner or a UPS. What would you guys recommend? Is a power conditioner better for my situation, or would a UPS work better?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Not sure what power supply is in my PC but I can find the wattage if needed.

I use speakers with my PC and there was a buzzing/hissing in one of them. As soon as the new receptacle was installed the sound went away. Also the electrician said that there was no ground wire at all. I also would've never thought that grounding would be the issue, but I'm very convinced after reading several forums related to this exact sort of issue.

Sorry but that makes little sense to me. Your mouse is getting 5 Volts through the PSU.

I would assume your house does not have a dedicated grounding wire so it grounds to 0 or the non current providing wire. They used to do it back then. My house is built like that as well and I never had that issue in decades of gaming. You can put another wire into your outlets but the cost of that won't be worth it unless you remodel everything. If you have a power issue, it is your power supply that is at fault here and or a crappy pc case. It is possible your PSU is acting up. Also check the power cord from the PSU to the wall outlet. If that is kinked or broken, you could have a fire in your home at some point.

I can try using a spare PSU and see if that helps. Maybe I've just jumped to conclusions here based on what I've read in other forums when it's really just something small like a bad power supply. Thank you for the response.
