gpu not running on 100%

recently when im playing any game with unlimeted fps, my gpu and cpu dont run at 100%.
in the past i had no problems with it. when i played warzone my gpu was always on 95-100% but now it only runs at 50-80%.

specs:
RX 5700 XT
R5 3600
MSI B450
16GB DDR4 3200MHz

There are some games that either dont fully use your hardware (meaning they arent optimized very well) , and or the game is so lightweight the hardware simply isnt being taxed enough. 

 

Less likely but possible is something else like a slow drive or slow internet connection is leaving the cpu and gpu with not much to do.

but it worked fine in the past. now when i play kingdom come deliverance i only get 40-50 fps and my gpu is running at 40-80%.

Ok well if the machines software hasnt been locked down then consistency in performance really isnt something you should be hoping for. 

 

With the machines drivers constantly changing, along with windows constantly changing, and the game itself constantly changing , consistency will be at the mercy of several software factors.  

 

In order to eliminate software as the culprit you would need to return the machine to the exact software configuration it was at when it performed as you wanted it. Otherwise it will be difficult to determine if the hardware actually has any issues.
