RTX 3070 load...

Hi

I recently played Rainbow six siege and i got 110 fps, but i saw that my gpu load was always 100% is this normal??

CPU: I7 7700K | GPU: RTX 3070 Ventus 2x 8GB | msi b250m bazooka

what apps do you have in your backround? and have you done any thing in the nvidia control panel?

uhm only discord and nzxt cam for monitoring the gpu

i did change a resolution but i dont use it and i changed my colors a bit

Go to your discord settings and turn off "In-game overlay". See if it helps.

what resolution are you playing at

GPU usage at 100% is what you want. If it was CPU usage at 100% then you would have a problem.

Can you check the power management mode in "Manage 3D Settings". It should be on "Optimal Power". Not "adaptive" nor "prefer maximum perfomance"

to answer your question, 100% gpu load is normal and preferred over 100% cpu load

Consider yourself lucky, idk if 110 FPS is a lot in rainbow since I don’t play it, but I can’t get my 3070 to do over 50% in any title I play and I bet my frames would be way better If I could. 100% is what you want to see.

he should be getting more than 190fps according to his resolution and specs.. i dont think thats really ideal

oh now im happy, i hope that u can to the same, im just scared that if i put my gpu fans on 100% that they will damage my gpu but idk it sounds weird if its gonna damage it but should i do 100%fans? then the gpu temp is a lot lower

It could be a software issue.. Are your gpu drivers up to date?

yes i know but i dont have a ryzen plus i run the game at ultra and maybe its my ram because i have 3200mhz ram but my motherboard only goes up to 2400mhz
