Because of the way the games were made, you really shouldn't bother with trying to remove the FPS cap. The RenderWare GTA games were really made to be played at 30fps or less and trying to brute-force your way above that mark really doesn't work well at all.

Sucks to say that, but at the very least, you shouldn't have any trouble maintaining a locked 30fps on those games... I hope...

Yeah , but you know when you play everyday on 120hz , i can’t play capped at 30 , I think I’ll repair my ps2 instead of playing on my pc

Yeah, I don't really think going back to the PS2 originals is the best route to play the GTA games, if I were to be honest.

Why?

They run like garbage on PS2. Yes, they're the intended visual experience for the games, but San Andreas in particular has a very sloppy frame rate.

No idea about PS3, but SA locks to 30 on PS4, but it has dreadful frame pacing, last I remember.

Believe it or not, the most "playable" version of San Andreas I've played was on a high end mobile phone.

Using a controller it was very enjoyable.

I believe it, predominately because SA sucks ass on PS2 and PC.

I've heard it's fine on Xbox, but I imagine the actual mobile ports are decent.

Yep.

On mobile the frame rate is consistent, and so the whole thing feels smooth and responsive.
