X570 or B550?

Hello there

I was wondering if anyone from this forum could help me decide what motherboard I should buy.

I'm looking for a motherboard that has: 4 Sata 6 ports, Wifi (With an exendible antenna like the ASUS ROG STRIX B550-E GAMING) and a BIOS flashback button. (This motherboard needs to last me at least 3/5 years)

I'm also planning to overclock the CPU (Ryzen 5 5600x) and the RAM (Corsair Vengance 32GB 3600Mhz).

Lots of motherboards satisfy that condition.

Go to a store like Newegg or on pc part picker or some other store  that lets you filter by various parameters (ex. must have wifi , must have at least 4 sata ports and so on0

 

Keep in mind that on some motherboards one or two sata ports get disabled if you install a nvme M.2 ssd so you have to pay attention to the description or technical specs on the website for that motherboard.

Also, you should treat wifi as optional - you can always buy a pci-e x1 or a miniPCIe wireless card for 5-15$ if you otherwise get an excellent deal on a motherboard.

 

The difference between B550 and x570 is that the B550 boards have pci-e 3.0 for the pci-e slots and 2nd m.2 connector created by chipset, the video card pci-e slot and the first m.2 connector are still pci-e 4.0

These should all fit the bill. There are probably more you can choose, but for a 5600X you don't need to spend a huge amount.
