also, how do i get it to reach those speeds?

 

im currently running 1333mhz but will put those in a htpc i just built and gift myself some new (awesome) ram

2133 cl9.  One step up in speed is about the same as a setup in latency. They will cancel each other out. It's 1333, 1600,1866,2133,2400,2666,2800 and then 3000. (Yeah i know that the world record is 4ghz but you can't buy that.)

Are both at the same stock volts? Do you have the option of an 1866 MHz kit at CL9 and 1.5v? If so, you can likely push that kit to both the above settings- provided your motherboard and CPU play nice and you are ok pushing the volts higher.

anything over 2400 is insanely expeez

ou can get some 2666mhz on sale for a decent price. It is quite rare though.
