Condenser Mic

I am looing for a good mic for random recording. I would like to use it for twitch, voice overs, vocals and acoustic guitar. I have done some shopping and have narrowed it down to 3.

I got a used blue snowball ice, the cheapest of the lineup and it's a VERY good mic. Look up videos on youtube, most people actually record themselves talking using the mics they're testing so you can actually hear how clear all these are.

ps: I'd personally never heard of the Samson but looks like a good microphone.

Good choice. I personally have the Blue Snowball, and it is a great mic, don't get me wrong. But I do wish I had the mute and volume controls that the Yeti has, they are just so handy to have.

I have an AT2020 usb condenser mic, highly recommend it has great mounting solutions and superior audio quality, usually it's on sale for $100 on amazon.

There are comparisons between the AT2020 and the Yeti, and the Yeti not only sounds better, but also has multiple functions.

Sound quality is an opinion. What sounds good to you may not sound good to me. I'm speaking from a users perspective to help somebody make a choice, not speaking from a standpoint of not actually having one.

It really depends on the environment as well as the person in question, but I think the AT2020 sounds better (I have both, along with some other mics); for ~$50 (for the XLR model) it's a much better deal right now than the Yeti if you already have an interface.

Audio Technica makes really good mics too, but the Blue Yeti is still one of the best mics for under $100 out there, can't go wrong getting that one :)

that doesn't prove crap. If that were true beats by dre would be one of the best headphones out there and hp laptops would be top notch.

If you're doing anything other than voice recording (which you said you would do), then go for a much more accurate microphone such as the AT2020. The blue yeti is not bad by any means, but it boosts the bass unaturally. This might seem nice for voice recording, but once you start doing other stuff with it it can get really annoying. Since you said you would record guitar samples etc.. I would definitely recommend that over ANY blue microphone. Not to mention it also has a standard mount so it's much more versatile than the blue microphones.

PS: If you want to boost the bass for voice recordings on the AT2020 you can do that too. The point is that it's much more neutral and accurate out of the box than the blue yeti.

Oh, I like my snowflake just fine, and a friend is very happy with his snowball, but they're not the only option. It seems like every thread about mics ends with everyone and their dog recommending a Blue Yeti/Snowball, and there's not even anything special about them.

i think i should rephrase ' a lot of people have used them WITHOUT COMPLAINT" and i think dell laptops are more common than hp and beats are just overpriced, also lots of people use at2020 does that make them bad to

consumer and business notebooks are a whole different thing.

lenovo laptops that people always tout around as a great value are built like shit while their thinkpad business line are great. Same with the dell business laptops, the hp probook business laptops etc.. They are not built and designed by the same team and are completely different.

I was reffering specifically about the consumer notebooks which is what 95% of customers are interested in.

True. but the current line of computers in use by the 1st year students at the school I work at now have Lenovo ThinkPad Edge E330 13" laptops, and they feel far from as nice as my Probook, they're downright flimsy IMO.

yup. The edge laptops are low end junk. Apart from the X, T, and W series I wouldn't buy anything else from the thinkpad line. Those three lines are the only ones that are built very well. The rest might look similar yet still be built like junk.
