What laptop ?

Hi guys.

 

My son wants to get a new laptop that will play games such as Skyrim, Minecraft and Need for Speed.

 

I have had a look and have come up with this Lenovo IdeaPad G Series G505s-01035 for €499.00

 

His budget is €500.

 

What do you think. I'm not a major fan of Lenovo bit it does seem to fit his needs.

I know that my friend has an acer aspire V5-552g and he LOVES it!

He bought it for about $450 in a sale, but the original price is $500 (less than your budget)

The G505s is a decent budget gaming laptop. Tho keep your eyes peeled, they released a Windows 8 version (initial) and recently released a Windows 8.1 version. They are the same exact laptops except one already has Windows 8.1 pre-loaded.

Looks like the website cocked up. They stated that this model had AMD 8750 GPU but according to Lenovo it only has integrated.

 

So the search continues. What is the best laptop for games up to €500.

Nothing to see here - move along.
