Looking to upgrade PSU

Tottenstein

What is your budget and region? Generally, though a something like the Corsair RM1000x is considered to be a good PSU for a fair price.

Why do you need a 1000w psu?

It maybe more reasonable to buy a psu that matched the component needs.

I want a power supply that I won’t need to change out any time in the near future

Well to be honest unless you're running dual 3090, you won't use it ever.

A system with 3090 can safely use a 650w.

If you want a reasonable price, then it's better just to get a very good 650w than a so so 1000w.

How much is your budget? Also, what specs you're rocking 'coz it may be an 'overkill' whereas your other components are 'lagging behind'.

By checking the PSU Tier List in Tier A to S, you may look for something like a Seasonic Prime Platinum or Titanium 1000W which is priced at 235 USD and 289 USD, respectively thru. BHPhoto. If you're just looking for a Gold-rated 1000W, then both Corsair RMx series and Seasonic Prime have those which are priced right around ~205 USD-ish.

Well if your  trying to future proof your psu and want to remain cheap  I suggest the Rosewill 1050w 80 plus Gold at $160. It has a 5 year warranty and with the 80 plus Gold rating it will run at 90% efficiency with 50% load with is probably all your system will draw anyway. That PSU will outlast your system.

1000w is not future proofing it's money wasting.
