RTX 3080 Help

so i have an rtx 3080 gaming x edition and im getting low clock speeds on this game called rust and im playing on 1080p does anyone know why this is happening.

Reseat (reinsert) the card, ensure the 6/8pin connections are snug

Wdym by 'low' clock speeds? Are they stuck at just a few hundred and not moving at all?

they are moving but they are low because im getting super low fps around like 60-70 fps on 1080 medium settings.

1080p and 3080? It's probably CPU bound.

Is your power supply sufficient? Card may be stuck in lower power state

Pretty sure your GPU isn't being stressed at those settings. That's probably why the clocks are so low.

yea my psu is 750 watts

What's your CPU? 

 

Answer while also downloading this : https://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html

 

Restart your computer in safe mode (in case of windows 10 otherwise google how to restart in safemode: by clicking on the windows icon of your taskbar then click on the "power" option which whill reveal options such "shut down" "restart" "sleep" 

 

hover your mouse on the "restart" option (DONT click it yet) press the shift button on your left of your keeboard and hold it for like at least 5 sec (dont remember the exact time hold for a few seconds just to be sure) then click on restart. 

 

Once you are booted in safe mode run DDU and completely clean any drivers amd or nvidia (its the default option if I remember correctly but just look for a complete clean option) 

 

then restart your computer and visit https://www.nvidia.com/Download/index.aspx fill the options and download the game ready driver (next page is should have a WHQL next to the driver name) 

 

install it. 

 

restart your computer normally. 

 

Then before starting rust do this on steam: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=760447682

 

After that start rust 

 

If nothing changed then download OBS from here: https://obsproject.com/ 

 

do this and chose the option to advance (see the video to make sense of that) 

 

capture your screen with OBS using nvenc while you are playing the game 

 

How to do that?

What Cpu?
