Can Joe Rogan take down a video if someone uploaded an entire episode on youtube? If he can does he even bother? I know usually some companies handle these and after the spotify contract maybe they are strict about it?

I think YouTube has a way of handling this automatically. I seem to remember a time where channels were getting copyright strikes from LTT content but LTT wasn't doing it.

But there are many JRE edits on Youtube, also many videos include short clips from JRE. I dont think Joe would want to strike them bc he was striked and he is against it but whole episodes?

Clips and edits CAN POTENTIALLY fall under fair use, but I do not know the intricacies of how that works.

 

Full episodes are definitely grounds for a copyright claim.

edits can fall under fair use full episodes will be striked, spotify pays too much for exclusivity not to take care of them

I doubt he's doing it himself. More likely whatever managing media company he works with. Or an automatic system from Youtube.

 

In the end though, the specific mechanics of the claim don't matter. Fully episodes are copyright violations.
