So I just build a pc with a ryzen 5 3600 and a rx580, and I spent a few days troubleshooting because none of the ez-debug leds were on meaning there was no issue with the gpu, cpu, or ram.

Yesterday however, I just randomly put a gt1030 from my other PC into my new build, and it immediately booted into bios

Could someone explain what happened? No ez-debug led's,  fans spinning, and eveything on but for some reason the brand new rx 580 wasnt working??

yes obviously, i have gotten a new gpu and it works perfect now

The 1030 probably doesn't use a supplemental power cable, so I wanted to make sure you knew about it.

yes, the 1030 was just one i had laying around that i used to test the gpu slot and PC

i got a nice 1660 now tho 🙂

any ideas on how the gpu was dead if it was recognized (no ez debug leds) and the fans were spinning?
