More FPS without overclocking - Nvidia only?

Hey guys,

First time overclocking here.

JayZTwoCents has a video (

) saying power target is fine being pushed to max allowed as well as temp target. That's on evga precision overclocking software. I was just wondering if the same is true for nzxt cam software. I have an AMD card with current specs on image below.

I put my power limit to the max, so +20% as you can see in the picture, is that fine?

And what should I do concerning memory clock and core clock? I didn't touch core clock yet, can I push it that last little bit without any issues?

Thanks

Me personally I believe MAX Power is the legit 100% ability of the GPU and isn't overclocking. Just unlocking the factory Max potential.

Ive always used MaxPower, but I also never use cheap rate power supplies either.

Adding core and memory frequency however, is an Overclock, and pushed far enough will give issues.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

Do you need to start the program everytime with windows if you want changes done to card in effect, or once i click apply, i can close nzxt cam?

If my memory serves, NZXT CAM does not have control over any GPU overclocking.

You should be doing your power target / overclocking through AMD's own driver software -- Adrenalin.

If you make the changes WITHIN Adrenalin, and save it, it will automatically apply the changes on every Windows start-up.

It will only restore back to default if something abnormal happens (e.g. drivers crash).
