Hello everyone,

My system has been giving me a error saying "not enough usb controller resources" and when this happens some of my USB devices stop working (headset and camera normally).

Upon further research I determined this issue stems from having not enough USB "endpoints". Connected to my system by USB I have the following:

Oculus Rift

Oculus Rift Sensor x3
Logitech G502 Mouse

Logitech G9xx Keyboard

Razer Nari Headset
Razer Kiyo Webcam

Wacom Drawing Tablet

Elgato Stream Deck

Also my (relevant) system specs are as follows:

Windows 10

ASUS Crosshair XII Hero X470

Currently all my devices are connected directly to the motherboard. Does anyone know if this can be solved via adding either a USB hub or USB card?

are they all on usb 3.0? if so, move as many as you can to usb 2.0, such as mouse and keyboard, and any other devices that won't suffer for it.

I have attempted moving around devices but I cant find any combinations that fix it.

I don't really know if this will help but I can recommend a PCIe to usb3.0 device

That's what I was thinking but from what I read online its a issue with the motherboard chipset rather than the USB ports themselfs.

I would say it's a limitation of the board. That's just a lot of stuff, some of which is very data or power hungry and there is only so much power/data that can be shoved through all available USB ports at the same time. Does the issue go away if you unplug something, or a few things?

I would think a PCIe USB card would be more likely to fix this issue. Gets power differently and would use different paths for data transmission. A hub is just going to give you more ports from the same plug, so you would run into the same issue.

Yeah, disconnecting devices makes the issue go away and that what I do right now. A PCIe usb device is what I was thinking about trying. I will probably grab one and see if anything changes.
