What CPU do you have? Fortnite isn't exactly an intensive game. Honestly, depending on the CPU, anything from a GTX 1080ti to an RTX 2060 will work with Fortnite.

1080ti is ULTIMATE overkill. You could get 240 fps on med-high settings with a rx570 or 240fps on high-ultra with a 5700xt. And amd gpus typically have a lot more stock rn which leads to a lot more reasonable pricing.

You will pay an arm and leg if you buy it now. Anything over $100 is increased to at least 50% more.

Fornite is not a demanding games, this are the list of what you might want to buy:

GTX1050ti

GTX1650, 1660 super.

RX560, 570 and 580.

RX5500

All those cards are capable of doing fortnite at 60fps minimum, which is enough.

I suggest getting it USED, compare them with their regular price (before inflation).

Because 1080ti is both considerably faster and more expensive than a 5700xt lol.

they are basically equal to each other lol. the 1080 ti and 5700xt are really similar gpus. anyway its not worth arguing over lol its just a piece of hardware

Something like a 1050ti or a 1650 would be fine. However, if you wanted to save some more money, you could get a Ryzen 5 3400G or a Ryzen 3 3200G (these are CPUs with integrated graphics - AMD calls them ‘APUs’) With these APUs, you could probably get around 60fps (ish) on low settings on Fortnite (i’m not 100% sure how they would perform in other games).

I hope this helps 🙂

Eh, not that I'm agreeing that a 1080ti is necessary, but I don't think it's faster for the most part. Trade blows most of the time these days.

Find yourself something used locally for a reasonable price imo. Secondhand RX 570 should still be close to $150 or less.
