1440p GPU

I am looking for a new gpu and given the current situation am really struggling. I’m trying to find a card to play at 1440p and will most likely upgrade to RTX 40 when it comes out. At the moment, even second hand 2070 supers are £500 in the UK which seems ridiculous. I’m looking for something closer to £420 or less.

From what I can tell I have a few different options:

1. Try and get an RTX 3060 on launch day

2. Get a second hand 1080/1080 ti and wait for RTX 40

3.Get a cheaper second hand card like RX 580 and wait for RTX 30 series prices to stabilise

What do you guys think I should do?

1. Would be the best option if you can get one.

2. RTX 40 is likely still about 2 years off.

3. This card is not really capable of AAA 1440p. I'd say don't expect the market to normalize until late summer.

If someone did not use reason to reach their conclusion in the first place, you cannot use reason to convince them otherwise.
