You'd probably be better off going for an x99 based system rather than an x79 based one. X79 boards are becoming more and more hard to find by the day, and ddr3 prices just keep going up. You could get a 2011-3 xeon for about $50 more, but that money you'd save with the ram and the board and still get the benefit of the better IPC. Something like an e5 2667 v3 can be had for $50 more, you get 12 cores instead of 8, same clockspeeds, higher IPC, and the advantage of cheaper boards and memory, as well as a newer platform.

What board are you planning to use? Good boards for the plat form can be hard to find. The used ones are cheap, and the cheap chinese ones have weird issues at times.

A 60$ one on eBay probrably a Chinese one but I don’t know what to pay

I looked and the 2667 is 150$ rather than 35$ and I also found a deal on ram, 16gb for 30$ 1600mhz the board I will go no higher than 100$ tho

Oh I found a 2667 v3 for $80, and figured that was close enough. You'd still be fine with what you're going with, but if it were me I'd spend the extra money and save the money on the board.

Yeah makes sense so it’s all good just be carful on the MOBO right?

Yeah, try to get a good motherboard. You'll probably be better off with a used board rather than a Chinese refurbished one, as those boards can have some very weird issues. Make sure the board looks like it was in good condition, and if you can find a board that was built for overclocking, as they tend to be built better and have better support.
