My Super Workstation Rig

Got the case at the moment, but I'm at least a month off ordering the rest of it. Workstation and media consumption device.

 

Just thought I'd share:

 

CPU: Intel Core i7-4930K 3.4GHz

CPU Cooler: Noctua NH-U12S 55.0 CFM CPU Cooler

Extra CPU Fan: Noctua NF-F12 PWM 55.0 CFM 120mm Fan

Motherboard: Asus X79 Deluxe ATX LGA2011

RAM: G.Skill Ripjaws Z Series 64GB (8 x 8GB) DDR3-1600

Storage: 2x Seagate Barracuda 2TB in RAID 1

               2x Sandisk Extreme II 480GB SSD in RAID 0

              4TB NAS

Replacement Case Fan:  Noctua NF-A14 PWM 82.5 CFM 140mm

PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 1000G2 1000W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular 

Card Reader: Thermaltake Black SuperSpeed USB 3

GPU: At this stage, 2x Gigabyte GeForce GTX 770 4GB in SLI. However, not sure if I want to block two PCI-E slots.

Extra: Hauppage HDTV Card, additional USB 3.0 header card, 5.25" tool draw.

ODD: 2x LG Blu-Ray read/write, second hand.

Monitors: 6 at this stage, will contemplate a bigger desk. In addition to my Samsung Syncmaster 2333 and HP w448h, looks like an additional Asus VG278H and either 2x BenQ RL2455HM and a Dell U2913WM or maybe just 3 of the BenQs.

 

So yea, that's pretty much it...

I'd suggest planning later. ~2-3 days at most before you buy. Parts and prices change frequently so any parts list you come up with now will likely be obsolete by the time you're ready to buy.
