Apologies for the inconvenience caused to you. I have checked few resources on the issue and we have reported an active bug on the same issue, many people are facing the same issue. This is the Bug 1737293: Win10 - (20H2): Computer not recognizing Headset. This Bug has been identified as top priority and our Microsoft development team is working on this issue.. It will get fixed with the next update patch. Kindly wait until our Microsoft development team resolves this issue. I will keep you updated on this bug via email. I hope you understand. Need not worry, Once when i get a confirmation from the Microsoft development team that the bug is completely fixed then i will provide you all the workaround steps via email which they would provide me to resolve your issue.

i asked windows tech support that my laptop doesn't detect my headphones so he sent me this

That is an exceptionally weird bug, are you certain your headphones work properly?

If you plug in external speakers to the audio jack, do they work?

I tried the headphones on a Windows pavilion and it worked fine it detected the microphone and the headphones

i found a solution went into sound manager and set the headphones as a headset
