So, stupid question:

I forget what speed of memory I bought. How can I check without physically taking it out? I think it's DDR4-3000 but I want to make sure.

Build:

  • CPU: AMD 3700x
  • Cooler: Hyper 212 EVO RGB
  • Motherboard: MSI x570 tomahawk wifi
  • Memory: Teamforce Delta RGB DDR4-3000 16 GB
  • Graphics Card: EVGA 1660 SC ULTRA
  • Case: Fractal Design Meshify C
  • PSU: Fractal Design Ion 660w
  • OS: Win 10 Pro
  • Case fans: Sickleflow 120 RGB (3-pack)

Nothing I say is guaranteed to be correct, please remember this. I'm still learning every day.

Feedback is appreciated!

(in other words i can say stupid stuff so double check what i say)

You can use different programs, like CPU-Z.

Under the tab "memory" you can see the memory, at its true speed.

Keep in mind (long story short) DDR = double data rate, so if you have 3000Mhz memory it will show (around) 1500Mhz in programs like CPU-Z.

Under the SPD tab, you can choose a slot and it will show the part number of your memory too.
