Hello all, I'm a little confused on what is going on with my ram. I've always just had 16gb in my rig, but I found a 32gb kit for a really good deal, so I now have 48 gigs (All sticks are Trident Z). My problem is when I look in my task manager, it says chrome or just certain tasks in general are taking more than half of my RAM. I'll post a screenshot of my task manager, but I just don't understand how that makes any sense. Maybe there's just a certain way my ram is being allocated which is

giving me these numbers, but it doesn't feel like my PC can handle any more tasks than it did when I just had 16gb. It's actually worse than it was, I'm getting delays and lag when I'm literally just trying to switch tabs on chrome. Is what I'm seeing normal? Any help would be great, thanks!

That is pretty strange, I'm really not sure what it could be tbh. Maybe you could restarting your PC and see if that helps fix it.

Go to the performance tab in Task Manager and click on Resource Manager, or simply type it in the search bar in the bottom left of your screen (left side of your task bar by default). What does it report for the highest memory allocation?

Have you run any anti-virus/anti-malware software to rule out viruses/malware?
