Good B550 ATX motherboard with good VRM cooling?

khazad

I mainly want one that has good cooling because I live in a hot environment, I was thinking on the Gigabyte Aorus Pro or the Asus TUF Gaming, or is there any other cheaper alternatives?

I'll be using a 5600x.

CPU: Ryzen 5 5600x | MB: Asus TUF Gaming B550-Plus | RAM: Crucial Ballistix RGB 16Gb 3200Mhz | GPU: Gigabyte GTX 1080 Windforce | Cooler: Scythe Fuma 2 | PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 650 G2 | SSD: Crucial MX300 275Gb | HDD: WD Black 2Tb | Monitor: LG 27GL83A

Any decent B550 board would work. See how much the B550-A-Pro is. It’s a great board that can handle a 5900x.

The 5600X doesn't need anything special in terms of VRM. As long as you have good airflow through your case you should be fine with pretty much any B550 board. The two you mention would be fine though. Stick with ATX for that Gigabyte board if possible as it is better if you ever decide to go with a higher core cpu.

As for cheaper even a B450 board like the MSI B450 Tomahawk MAX would be fine. A cheapish B550 would be something like the MSI B550-A PRO. I would stick to boards with bios flashback just to be on the safe side.
