Buzzing noise

gamabe_cz

My friend today bought new monitor from samsung. It's Samsung C27F390F. The monitor emits buzzing noise. Monitor have two inputs, VGA and HDMI. The noise is only emited when connected via HDMI, we tried different cables, but that didn't help. Noise is more intense, as we turn brightness up. When using VGA noise is gone, even on max brightness. Any suggestions?

Some component in the monitor (Whatever handles Hdmi input) has a part that makes that noise... not much you can do about it.... Use VGA? If it bothers you return it and request a new one it may be a defect.

You should RMA this monitor, it should not do that.

But why it change pitch with different brightness levels. That makes no sense to me. At minimum brightness, it cant be heard

Is the noise coming from the monitor, or the power supply?

Monitor itself

Whatever handles power in the monitor has a whine when power is put through it. Less power with low brightness more power with more brightness. I would return it. It might not be an issue now but could be later.

But why VGA doesn´t do that?  I´m only curious.
