Brand new machine RTX 3070, green lines and won't boot into windows? Heeeelllllllooooollllppp :-)

Hi All,

I reently brought a new machine and out of the box (well packaged), I booted it up and I'm getting graphical glitches on screen. Tried it with my tv and my monitor (two different cables), same issue.

Windows won't load, I suspect the graphics drivers.

However managed to boot up on ubuntu with a USB (1024x768 res)?

Motherboard is the Asus B550m-A wifi.

Any ideas?

I'm pretty gutted

Seems very much like corrupted or missing graphics drivers.

Did you buy it as a prebuilt or custom-build it?

Brought it from a Computer company who builds pc to spec. Not sure why the bios boot has greenlines though.. How do I update the driver when I can't get into Windows?

You should return it. Computers aren't supposed to do this on first boot.

Yeah, the thing is. It initially had an issue with the onboard sound, so they rebuilt the pc with new parts and now this.. 😞

I really am wondering why I didn't stick to a gaming laptop.. It brought the Pc in December..

My computer is doing the exact same thing.  I tried it in another machine and put my old card in the new machine.  It is clearly the video card.  It is a CyberPower machine.  I have a MSI 3070 X Trio.

Linus should look into this.  It looks like a common problem at this point.

Hi I also had the same exact problem with my RTX 2070. So what I have done was that I flashed the gpu bios and it started to boot into windows, sadly the lines still occur. In some cases it might go as bad as having a black screen with lines. Someone should look into this!!!
