Internal USB 3.0 Header Splitter

My motherboard only has the one Internal USB 3.0 Header which is presently taken up by the case's front IO. However, I'd like to install something like a Akasa InterConnect EX 5-slot USB 3.0 card reader which will need to be plugged into a Internal USB 3.0 Header. Looking online I don't seem to be able to find any Internal USB 3.0 splitters or hubs. Is there a reason they don't exist or am I just searching for the wrong thing?

Common build advice:

1) Buy the cheapest (well reviewed) motherboard that has the features you need. Paying more typically only gets you features you won’t use. 2) only get as much RAM as you need, getting more won’t (typically) make your PC faster. 3) While I recommend getting an NVMe drive, you don’t need to splurge for an expensive drive with DRam cache, DRamless drives are fine for gamers. 4) paying for looks is fine, just don’t break the bank. 5) Tower coolers are usually good enough, unless you go top tier Intel or plan on OCing. 6) OCing is a dead meme, you probably shouldn’t bother. 7) "Bottlenecks" rarely matter and "Future-proofing" is a myth. 8) AIOs don't noticeably improve performance past 240mm and don't improve at all past 360mm. 9) RTFM.

He/Him - I'm a PhD student working in the fields of reinforcement learning and traffic control. Splitters exist. They're terrible. You won't be able to use all of the ports/devices at once, which defeats the purpose, if they can be used at all. 

 

You need to either

 

A - Possibly rig some sort of passthrough for the case USB3 ports to a USB3 port on the back of the motherboard (this was somewhat common in the days when USB3 was a sexy new feature, these days pass-through grommets on the back of cases are rather rare so you might have to drill a hole or something)

 

B - Connect the case USB3 ports to a USB2 header using an adapter (this will of course make the ports function at USB2 speed, but depending on what you actually plug in to them this may not matter)

 

C - get a different motherboard

Corps aren't your friends. "Bottleneck calculators" are BS. Only suckers buy based on brand. It's your PC, do what makes you happy.  If your build meets your needs, you don't need anyone else to "rate" it for you. And talking about being part of a "master race" is cringe. Watch this space for further truths people need to hear.

You could get a pcie card to add more USB3 headers.

Yeah, I figured this might be an option after I logged out last night, and I need more USB slots and a USB type C on my rear I/O anyway so it looks like the best move.
