Macbook Pro touchpad problem

Hey guys, anyone that have some experience with Macbooks? My girlfriend spilled literally a drop of water on the touchpad, and since then the mouse has been freaking out, lagging and clicking all over the place. What could be the cause of this issue? I don't believe that the water got into the computer, since the drop landed on the touchpad, away from the edges of it. What would be the best thing to do?

maybe that's not because of the water, it could be that she pushed the touchpad too hard when she cleaned it up and broke something.

I have a Macbook Pro and I've spilled stuff on the track pad loads of times and never had a problem after drying it off. Might sound silly, but have you tried turning it on and off again?
