I'm looking to finish my build with a 200-300 USD gpu. I'm wondering if I should jump on a GTX 1660 super if I can find it in stock, or should I wait for 3050/3050 ti?

AMD Ryzen 5 3600 @3.8 Ghz. -  Gigabyte B450 Aorus M - Asus TUF Gaming GTX 1660 SUPER 06G - GSKill Ripjaws V 16gb 2x8gb DDR4 @3200 Mhz. - Inland Premium 512gb NVMe SSD - Rose will RD 450 Watt 80+ - DIYPC s2-BK-RGB ATX Mid-tower case.

RTX 3050 isn't coming any time soon. Nvidia can't meet the demand for RTX 3080s so I doubt that they will bring lower end graphics cards until the existing demand has been met.

You technically could wait, but you don't know how longer you have to wait even after the card is launched, given the current condition with all these paper launches, idk man, if you need your pc right now, well, you could go for the 1660 super. But it's also true that the 3050ti would be much more powerful than an equivalent turing card. I'd say go for the 1660 super.

Attention is what makes life meaningful.

in this industry, you can wait as long as you want since things just keep getting better and better. It all depends on whether or not you want to wait. So it all depends on you, and like other said, the availability on those cards might be scarce, but if you can wait even then, then do wait.

get a second hand one something that can punch a little bit better 1070 ti? and try to buy the 3050 ti as soon as it is released?
