Any tips on FPS

So I play a lot of minecraft and my fps is always averaging at about 30 fps with nothing else open. Does anyone have any tips to make run better? (The version is 1.16.5)

For Minecraft you can install Optifine

[WhitetailAni]

OptiFine is the BEST.

I love its Zoom ability, especially for Hive Bedwars where seeing what your neighbors are doing is super important.

Probably helped my Core i3-2365M out a lot.

Never ever ever play on the latest release. It is always the most buggy and laggy. Play on the last major update on a release. Such as the 1.16.2 piglin brute update.

Yeah, send a list of your system specifications. Sounds like you have run out of RAM.

That's just not true for Minecraft. 1.16.5 was actually a bugfix and stability increase update.

I tried Hypixel.

Don't like it too much.

I also grew up playing Hive Bedwars (remember when Hive added 1.9 support?) so I do have a slight bias.

Really? Interesting. In my experience, the latest release is ALWAYS the most buggy. 1.16.5 is way more buggy and just not good compared to older ones.

Omg yes. Sometimes I get bored of it for a bit, but then I find my self wanting to play again 2 or 3 weeks later.

I’ve tried running 1.8.1 and it still has the same frame rate. My PC specs are: 8GB of RAM with an Intel Core i5 6400 (inter grated graphics)

Its because you are running integrated graphics. 90% of iGPU/APU are NOT meant for gaming. Also try closing ALL background tasks such as google chrome or other operations. Also optifine has and small FPS boost. It optimizes your settings.
