I've had my PC for about 4 years now and I've not once opened it up or cleaned it out or anything along those lines. How much would dusting it out with some compressed air help its FPS and general performance? Tell me if you need any information, thank you in advance!

Not at all.

The point of dusting isn't necessarily to increase performance, unless its really dusty, but to increase its lifespan. Fan bearings will live longer, expansion slots have a lower chance of failure and lower temperatures are generally good for all components. Also it's often a little less noisy if it's clean.

If your computer throttles down due to overheating, You will get a performance increase by cleaning it,  meaning it will work as originally intended and not be impaired by heat.

Usually while gaming my CPU hits about 70-75c and about 50-60c while idle, is that too much and could that be being caused by the dust?

I dust mine every week and this post gives me anxiety....

Dust build up can potentially lead to overheating which will start to affect performance. It can also be a electrical/fire hazard in some situations if life deals you a nat 1....
