My PC is a year old where until now it was prefect. no problems at all. recently i am getting bad fps drops at the startup of the game. so I checked and it was the GPU spiking hard. the thing that weirds me out is that it suddenly happened and the drops stop after a few minutes of waiting. but i still get slow loading times in the game.
the games are:
Destiny 2
Overwatch
and League but on LoL its not as potent.
pls hlp i am stuck on trying to fix it for like 2 weeks now image.gif.12b12762ddf2d3f6b6c503a0b3d7108d.gif

Forgot the PC specs:

2060 super no overclocking

Ryzen 3600 overclocked to 4ghz

Gskill trident z ddr4 3600mhz

Please list your full system specs (includes your psu, ssd, Case)

Anyway, what are your temps, is your ram running in dual channel and xmp?

And are your drivers updated?

Are the games running on a HDD or SSD some games care about the speed of storage there on. See if you still have the issues if you remove your cpu overclock.

* Reset bios to defaults to cancel all overcloking

* subclock  your GPU temporarily for troubleshooting purposes

* Open temporarily the side panel of you case for better ventilation

Try again

it allows your ram to run at full speed, your ram is probably running at 2133 or 2400mhz if you havent enabled xmp (unless you bought a prebuilt and it already enabled?)

XMP is memory overclocking that could be your issue as Ryzen likes fast memory. The Ram will default to its lowest speed without enabling XMP.

Even though you have 3600mhz ram it will not run at that speed by default. Enabling XMP will bring your ram upto its advertized speed.

Tried both xmp and the case is open. subclocked the GPU and declocked the CPU gpu still spikes to 100% ..

The GPU, yours, mine, everyones...

The GOAL is to have it at 100% usage.

Thats the intended usage you want.

Maximums - Asus Z97-K /w i5 4690 Bclk @106.9Mhz * x39 = 4.17Ghz, 8GB of 2600Mhz DDR3,.. Gigabyte GTX970 G1-Gaming @ 1550Mhz

yea but when it averages around 40-50 while playing and then getting a sudden spike of 100% is causing me to drop for 150fps to 15fps for a few seconds

and then back up to 150 and it hurts my brain 😞
