Ideas for old case?

Hey,

 

I have an old IBM Insight case that I pulled out of my folks house while recycling about 30 years of tech junk...

It still runs (dos + win3.1) and a friend suggested I keep the case but retrofit it with some modern internals.

 

While the idea appeals to me... I'm struggling to come up with any useful ideas considering how non-standard the case is.

Ideally I'd leave most of it in place (preferably hooked up and working) but the back I/O alone is giving me pause.

 

I figured I'd ask folks here, is it:

 - worth trying to keep the old tower and upgrade it? (If so what would you do?)

 - beyond the skills of a mere mortal who has only assembled PCs from parts designed to work together?

 

I appreciate any thoughts, ideas, or suggestions!

There are old cases that look good and unique. This case is not my cup of tea but if you like it yes you can use it with modern hardware it can be done just some drilling and cutting maybe required
