Finding a GPU

I’m new to pc building and interested in it. I want to use a RTX 3070. Where should I get it from, I tried to find one but it’s out of stock everywhere.

The new cards from Nvidia and AMD are both out of stock pretty much everywhere. Worse still the shortage has driven up prices of new and used cards across the board.

 

Your options are:

 

1. Basically camp on the sites and try and buy a card before the bots and scalpers get to them.

 

2. Buy an older new card if you can find it in stock.

 

3. Buy a used card if you can find one for a decent price.

As you said it's out of stock everywhere, so the way of tackling obtaining one is following notification based twitters and join a few discords that provide notifications for it. I also recommend if possible leaving tabs open to the card you want for the primary retailers for easy access in the case of a restock.

Best option is to use a Delorean and go to 2022. Otherwise pray and just keep checking, I wouldn't expect you to get one until the second half of the year given the worldwide Semiconductor shortage tho.
