NCP [Quality vs High Performance]

Is there a noticeable difference between the two? I noticed most pro's use the 'High Performance' for texture filtering. Tested it myself and found out the default 'Quality' makes my game smoother, not visually but the feeling of the game feels better. Might just be a placebo tho idk -,-
