Can't do 1440p 60hz with HDMI 1.4?

Guest

Hello! I'm having some issues and am about to pull my hair out. I have my LG TV plugged into my PC for an extra display via an active HDMI 1.4 (this is the one I have: https://www.inet.se/produkt/8906629/deltaco-hdmi-kabel-1-4-ha-ha-aktiv-vit-10m) and both my GPU and TV has HDMI 2.0, so there shouldn't be any compatibility issues.

My goal is to do 1440p 60hz. 1080p works with pretty much any framerate up to 144hz, but as soon as I try any resolution above 1080p, even just 1920x1200p, it displays no image at all unless I'm running 30hz, and even then some modes aren't working properly. According to specs, HDMI 1.4 should be able to run 1440p at 60hz, but the TV just displays "Invalid Format" when I try 1440p at 60hz or even 30hz. The weird thing is that 4k 30hz works fine.

Here are two settings that shows no image, but audio is working:

Even 30hz doesn't work:

However, 4k at 30hz works just fine:

For some reason when I change the resolution to 4k, the bit depth is 10-bit, whereas it's 8-bit at 1440p. I have no idea if that has anything to do with this but I think it's weird because if anything, higher bit depth means more bandwidth. Does the fact that the HDMI cable is active rather than passive cause any problems? Any ideas at all are appreciated!

Can't find anything about that on my TV's specs page, but that might be it. It would explain the random "Invalid Format" messages. Thanks for the tip!
