Rx580 8gb temp

Dimitrixhej

Hi. I have a new graphic card Saphire nitro plus rx580 8gb, blue version special edition.

My case nzxt h500. Cpu cooler liquid cooler m ml240l.

I have 4 fans. 2 in front with aio, one 120mm back and one 140mm up.

My temps are between 55-61°c with a good fan vurve and fans to 68%. Is little bit loud but i have this temperatures. Is this normal?

Can i put my gpu fans to 55% and to have a little bit more hot my card to 66°c. Is safe?

The RX series can run 24/7 at 80c ... most bioses adjust fan rpm dynamically to keep the temperature below 70-75c

Here's your BIOS information : https://www.techpowerup.com/vgabios/197894/sapphire-rx580-8192-171107

Limits
  TDP: 180 W
  TDC Power: 151 A
  Battery Power: 183 W
  Small Power Power: 183 W
  Max. Power Limit: 183 W
  Max. Temp: 86°C
GPU Clocks
  300 MHz, 751 MHz, 1048 MHz, 1158 MHz
  1240 MHz, 1309 MHz, 1364 MHz, 1430 MHz
Memory Clocks
  300 MHz, 1000 MHz, 2100 MHz
Temperature Target: 77 °C

You will notice  Max. Temp : 86c - that's the temperature where the bios on the card will start to throttle the gpu frequency to get it to consume less power and therefore cool down.

You will also notice Temperature Target: 77c  - that's the temperature the video card will "chase" - during gaming, the card will spin the fan as needed to keep the temperature at or below 77c..

So you're unnecessarily making the video card more noisy, but whatever, if you're more comfortable like that... it's fine.

Basically tldr, don't worry so much about the temperature of a video card.
