I have a Dell Inspiron 5559. Today I accidentally unplugged the power cord when I was playing a game. My battery died way before so it just went off. Now when I connect the AC adapter it doesn't even show the power led. Can someone let me know what's the problem and how can I fix it. It is the only PC I have and cannot afford to buy new one.

Have you tried plugging it in after removing the battery? I've run into situations where a dead battery can cause all sorts of weird power related problems if left in the laptop even when plugging the laptop into wall power. It could also be your power adapter that's the problem here, which you could test by plugging in another known-good working power adapter.

* Leave the power brick disconnected from the wall for about 15min

* Remove the battery from the laptop, Leave off  for 15min

* Put everything together and try to turn on the laptop

* If that does not work power the laptop on without the battery

I left it rest for more than 6 hours and and it still does not works. Also I don't have a battery, it died months ago so I threw it.
