3070 burned

autobots1970

I got a new 3070 last week. After I finished building it I installed a couple of games (cyberpunk, cod etc). I started playing cyberpunk 2077 after some time (about 15 mins) my computer automatically shut down and I smelt something burning from within the pc case. I then tried to boot my pc up again and saw the Gpu smoking and after this the pc shut down again. I don't know why this happened.

  1. Does anybody know if I can get warrenty on the card as I am a student who doesn't want to buy another card?

  2. Why did this happen? Since I clearly put in the Psu cables in correctly and it was working fine until I played cyberpunk

The card I have is the Asus Dual fan 3070

RMA the card. You didn't do anything that would void the warranty based on what you said.

I'm not sure why, could be various reasons.

Current System: Ryzen 7 3700X, Noctua NH L12 Ghost S1 Edition, 32GB DDR4 @ 3200MHz, MAG B550i Gaming Edge, 1TB WD SN550 NVME, SF750, RTX 3080 Founders Edition, Louqe Ghost S1
